DEH portrays not one, but two different types of anxiety so perfectly, I sometimes have to stop and remind myself it’s real.
Please don’t erase the importance of Alana and her representation of high-functioning anxiety. I know it’s barely touched on in the show, and never flat out addressed, but it’s still there. People with the disorder already feel like their problems aren’t real or important enough to claim. Don’t confirm their feelings by ignoring Alana, or even worse, criticizing her.
